IT Home is reporting that the Pangu Stone Forensics tool, developed by QAX (QiAnXin) Technology Group, has released version R8.8.0 with significant updates focused on data extraction, analysis, and security management.

A key advancement is the software's adaptation for Android 17, including privilege escalation capabilities. The update also adds support for Android 16 privilege escalation on Samsung and Xiaomi devices. Notably, Pangu Stone can now reconstruct deleted multimedia fragments from WeChat, such as images and audio files, even after they have been removed and their data links severed, a critical function for digital investigations.

Further extraction enhancements include improved stability for Huawei device IMEI data collection and new support for collecting Wi-Fi data from OPPO devices' private spaces. The software also includes a low-battery detection and warning feature to prevent data acquisition interruptions.

In terms of analysis, the new version expands support to include applications like Doubao, Qianwen, Kuaishou Lite, and Douyin Lite, alongside updated support for Telegram. Security features have been bolstered with unified user management, role-based logins, and enhanced audit trails for critical operations.

The Pangu Stone team specializes in digital forensics technology, offering solutions for computers, mobile devices, and network data. Their client base includes law enforcement agencies, government bodies, and judicial authorities.
