ITA Airways Expands Network with New Routes and Partnerships
ITA Airways has signed new agreements and launched new flights to strengthen its network and enhance passenger experience. The airline is expanding both its international and domestic connections.

ITA Airways has recently undertaken significant expansions to its flight network and entered into strategic partnerships to enhance its offerings.
The airline has inaugurated several new routes. These include direct flights connecting Houston to Rome, and new services to Santo Domingo. Furthermore, ITA Airways has added summer 2026 seasonal flights connecting Rome Fiumicino to European destinations such as Malaga, Valencia, and Marseille.
On the strategic front, ITA Airways has signed a new interline agreement with DAT, facilitating passenger connections within Italy and Europe. The company has also entered into a memorandum of understanding with MAECI (Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs) to develop a strategic partnership. In line with sustainability efforts, ITA Airways has partnered with Comieco to promote sustainable air transport and has launched "Green Fares" aimed at reducing carbon emissions.
Additionally, the airline announced plans to implement an AI-powered tool in 2026 to achieve fuel savings and reduce emissions. ITA Airways has also joined the Lufthansa Group, signalling a new phase in its development and opening avenues for future growth.
To improve the passenger experience, ITA Airways has also upgraded its onboard services, including dining, and integrated benefits from the Miles&More loyalty program. The airline's commitment to quality has been recognized with a 4-Star Airline Rating from Skytrax.
