ITA Airways has announced the launch of a new direct flight service connecting Rome Fiumicino Airport with Caracas, Venezuela, commencing on March 30, 2027.
The route will be served three times weekly, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, utilizing an Airbus A330-900 aircraft. The re-establishment of this direct air link follows cooperation with relevant authorities and diplomatic networks, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed by ITA Airways CEO Joerg Eberhart and Venezuelan Ambassador to Italy, María Elena Uzzo Giannattasio.
This new service aims to strengthen ties between Italy and Venezuela, foster economic and trade relations, and support Italian businesses operating in Venezuela. The route is also intended to benefit the large Italian community in Venezuela by reinforcing family and cultural connections.
The flight is expected to enhance connectivity and facilitate business travel and tourism. Rome Fiumicino will serve as a hub, offering passengers onward connections to numerous domestic and international destinations within the ITA Airways network.
