Italy Launches New Alliance to Boost Business Competitiveness
Ten Italian companies and organizations have launched the Systema Foundation, a new alliance aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of Italian businesses and supply chains through collaboration.
Rome – Ten prominent Italian companies and organizations, including Eni, Confindustria, Enel, Snam, UniCredit, Q8 Italia, Webuild, Accenture, Avvale, and RINA, have announced the formation of the Systema Foundation.
The new alliance is designed to enhance the competitiveness of Italian businesses and strategic supply chains by fostering greater collaboration among industry players, financial institutions, associations, and governmental bodies. The launch took place during the Open-es ACT 2026 event in Rome.
The Systema Foundation will serve as a forum for strategic guidance and dialogue. It aims to develop shared priorities, models, and approaches to address challenges stemming from social, environmental, and technological transformations. A primary objective is to reduce complexity and redundancy for businesses by tackling common issues collectively at a systemic level.
At the core of the initiative is the Open-es platform, which has already engaged over 48,000 companies. This platform will continue to support company development and coordination across supply chains. Claudio Granata, Eni's Director of Stakeholder Relations & Services and President of Systema Foundation, stated that the new organization represents an evolution of the Open-es journey with a more open and representative governance structure. The Foundation intends to welcome additional organizations seeking to contribute to its priorities and expand the alliance over time.
