ITeBO-Unternehmensgruppe has strengthened its digital building permit process with its ITeBAU platform, aimed at simplifying complex application procedures for building authorities. The system is reported to address challenges encountered with purely digital entry processes.

The ITeBAU platform connects building supervisory authorities, architects, designers, and property owners within a shared digital workspace. Its objective is to manage the entire building permit process comprehensively and digitally. Gero Illemann, ITeBAU team leader, noted that while standardized digital application systems are a step forward, practical application reveals challenges in inter-party communication and collaboration, often exceeding the capabilities of simple digital input systems.

With 20 years of experience in digitizing construction processes, ITeBAU has become an established solution in Germany, having processed over 300,000 digital building permit applications. The platform is in use across multiple states and numerous administrative bodies, supporting building authorities with an XBau-2-compliant process solution towards fully digital permit procedures.

The ITEBO group is recognized for its expertise in public sector digitalization. Several building authorities that had previously experimented with alternative solutions have reportedly reverted to ITeBAU, recognizing its advantages in handling complex workflows.
