Itterbeek Transport Orders 76 Scania XT Trucks

Itterbeek Transport, a Belgian transport company specializing in construction materials such as waste, earth, and gravel, has made a significant fleet investment.

The company, acquired by Amacro in early 2022, has ordered 76 new Scania XT trucks. These vehicles will replace older models and continue Itterbeek's commitment to an all-Scania fleet.

The order includes R420 4X2 and R460 6X4 configurations, designed to withstand demanding conditions, particularly for heavy material transport from quarries. Amacro CEO Johan Cromphout highlighted the Scania XT model's reliability, economy, and durability.

Amacro, which integrated Itterbeek Transport in early 2022, supports the company's strategy for quality equipment and more sustainable transport solutions. By choosing fuel-efficient Scania models and closely monitoring consumption via Scania Fleet Management, the company aims to reduce its carbon footprint.

Cromphout anticipates a 7-8% reduction in fuel consumption with the new trucks. Itterbeek Transport has also entered into a comprehensive Repair & Maintenance contract with Scania for all 76 trucks to ensure efficient upkeep and minimize downtime.
