IWG Plc Expands Service Office Offerings in Greece
International Workplace Group Plc is increasing its serviced office capacity in Greece to meet growing demand from businesses. The expansion reflects the country's economic recovery and burgeoning tech sector.

International Workplace Group Plc (IWG) is expanding its presence in Greece by adding more serviced office locations. The company is increasing its provision of flexible workspaces to accommodate a rising demand from both local and international businesses.
The growth in demand for flexible working spaces comes as Greece's economy recovers and its startup and technology sectors expand. Companies are increasingly seeking alternatives to traditional fixed office leases with high overheads. IWG is responding to this trend, with plans to open four new coworking spaces in Greece within a year by September.
Katerina Manou, VP Sales at IWG in Greece, stated that flexible workspaces have become an attractive option due to factors such as increased market volatility, the substantial upfront costs associated with conventional office setups, and the need for operational agility. She noted that perceptions have shifted, with workplaces now viewed as operational assets rather than liabilities.
Global trends support this shift. IWG's 2019 Global Workspace Survey, which polled over 15,000 businesses across 80 countries, found that 75 percent of employees desire flexible working options. The survey also revealed that more than half of workers globally spend at least 2.5 days per week working outside their main office headquarters.
While flexible working has long been a choice for small and medium-sized enterprises, it is now becoming a cost-effective strategy for large, global corporations seeking greater agility and risk mitigation. According to the survey, 65 percent of businesses are utilizing flexible workspaces as a strategic component of their operations.
