Online travel company ixigo reported a net profit of ₹63.4 Cr for the second quarter, swinging from a loss of ₹3.5 Cr a year earlier. Its shares rose over 13% following the announcement.

Online travel aggregator ixigo saw its shares climb over 13% after the company announced a significant swing to profitability in its second-quarter results. The company reported a consolidated net profit of ₹63.4 Cr ($7.5 million) for the quarter ending September 30, 2026, a stark contrast to the ₹3.5 Cr ($415,000) loss recorded in the same period last year.
Operating revenue for the quarter increased by 12.9% year-on-year to ₹321 Cr ($38 million), up from ₹284.2 Cr ($33.5 million) in Q2 FY26. While the net profit saw a substantial sequential increase of 85.2%, revenue declined 10% quarter-on-quarter from ₹356.8 Cr ($42 million).
The company's profit was bolstered by an exceptional gain of ₹40.7 Cr ($4.8 million) stemming from its partial exit from electric bus operator Freshbus. ixigo sold a portion of its stake in Freshbus in August, reducing its holding and revaluing the remaining investment. Excluding these exceptional items and taxes, ixigo reported a profit of ₹31 Cr ($3.6 million), compared to a loss of ₹4 Cr ($470,000) in the prior-year quarter.
Gross transaction value (GTV), a measure of total booking value on the platform, grew 22% year-on-year to ₹5,304.5 Cr ($627 million). Growth was driven by its train, bus, and flight segments, alongside expansion in hotel bookings. Hotel GTV more than doubled, reaching ₹111 Cr ($13 million), with over 86% of bookings originating from existing users.
