Iyuno rolls out CLOE capabilities for content localization

Burbank, California – Iyuno, a company focused on media localization services, has detailed its initial set of 10 CLOE capabilities, developed to address the demands of modern content localization.

The newly announced capabilities cover a range of services including subtitling, SDH (subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing), closed captions, dubbing scripts, audio description, localization, dialogue and timing lists, and sensitive content guidelines. Iyuno indicated that ongoing development will introduce further capabilities.

CLOE leverages persistent content understanding through contextual memory. Unlike many AI workflows that treat each task as a new problem, CLOE aims to retain a continuous understanding of content. Once CLOE builds a contextual memory for a title, its grasp of characters, relationships, dialogues, terminology, and creative context can be applied across multiple specialized skills, reducing the need for AI to interpret content from scratch each time.

"Subtitling, dubbing, audio description, and production scripting require distinct skill sets," said David Lee, founder and CEO of Iyuno. "They should not be treated as a generic AI problem. What they should share is an accurate understanding of the story. These capabilities allow us to specialize the execution without having to rebuild the underlying intelligence."

Iyuno plans to expand the CLOE ecosystem to include more creative, operational, and audience-facing applications. The company provides global services from 40 offices and its technology is integral to the localization of audiovisual content for the entertainment industry.
