JAAD Publication Shows Improved Performance of DecisionDx®-SCC Test

New findings published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD) demonstrate an improved performance for the DecisionDx-SCC test. The test's precision has been enhanced through the integration of selected clinicopathologic risk factors.

The test achieved a 97.3% negative predictive value for its Class 1A (low risk) result. This supports the accurate identification of low-risk patients, enabling risk-aligned management and potentially reducing unnecessary interventions.

DecisionDx-SCC is a gene expression test used to assess the risk of skin cancer, specifically squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). The study focused on validating the test's clinical utility with updated data, reinforcing its role in clinical decision-making.

These results contribute to advancements in skin cancer care by providing a more precise risk stratification tool, leading to potentially more individualized treatment plans for patients.
