JAC Motors Investigates Brake Pedal Issue in ZunJie V800 Luxury MPV
Chinese automaker JAC Motors is investigating claims that the brake pedal bracket of its ZunJie V800 luxury MPV broke during a media test. The company stated that quality control processes are in place for vehicles before they leave the factory.

JAC Motors, a Chinese automotive manufacturer, has confirmed it is investigating an incident where the brake pedal bracket of its ZunJie V800 luxury MPV reportedly fractured during a test conducted by media outlet Dongchedi. The company has acknowledged the situation and is currently conducting its own tests.
The issue surfaced after Dongchedi published test results alleging that the ZunJie V800's brake pedal bracket failed during an emergency braking maneuver from 100 km/h. The report led to a significant drop in JAC Motors' stock price during trading.
In response, JAC Motors' investor relations department stated that the company's "production and operations are normal." They added that "vehicles undergo quality control processes before leaving the factory." JAC Motors has committed to releasing an official statement once its investigation is complete.
The ZunJie V800, a luxury MPV priced over one million yuan, is a joint effort between JAC Motors and Harmony Ecosystem, launched in August 2026. Harmony Ecosystem has indicated it has not received similar feedback regarding brake pedals, and delivery cycles remain unaffected.
