Jagdish Farshan Raises ₹43.5 Cr for Quick Commerce Expansion
Legacy Indian snack maker Jagdish Farshan has secured ₹43.5 Cr ($4.6 Mn) in Series A funding to expand its manufacturing, retail distribution, and quick commerce presence.

Vadodara-based Jagdish Farshan, a nearly 90-year-old food brand, has raised ₹43.5 Cr (approximately $4.6 million) in its first institutional funding round. The Series A investment was led by Sharrp Ventures, the investment office of Marico founder Harsh Mariwala, with participation from angel investors.
The capital injection is earmarked for expanding manufacturing capacity, broadening retail distribution, and deepening the company's engagement with quick commerce platforms. This strategic move aims to extend the reach of its Gujarati snacks beyond its established markets.
Currently operating 27 retail outlets primarily in Gujarat and two in North America, Jagdish Farshan plans to open an additional 30-40 stores over the next two years. The expansion will focus initially on Gujarat, followed by entry into Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and other key regions, with a long-term goal of pan-India presence facilitated by quick commerce.
This investment reflects a broader trend among established Indian consumer brands to leverage digital channels, including quick commerce, to drive growth and reach new customer segments, particularly for impulse purchases like snacks.
