Japan's Torikizoku Yakitori Chain Opens First To-Go Concept
Japan's leading yakitori chain, Torikizoku, has opened its first takeout-focused concept in Anaheim, California, offering teriyaki chicken bowls and ramen from under $10.

Torikizoku USA Inc. soft-opened its first dedicated takeout concept, TORIKIZOKU TO-GO Anaheim, on October 2, 2026, in Downtown Anaheim. The new location aims to provide customers with a convenient way to access Japanese yakitori, rice bowls, and ramen.
The chain, founded in 1985, is reportedly Japan's largest yakitori chain with over 600 locations. Following its initial U.S. restaurant opening in Torrance in 2025, the Anaheim establishment represents the brand's expansion into Southern California with a fast-casual, to-go model.
The menu features signature teriyaki chicken bowls priced under $10, along with Kizokuyaki skewers, the chain's signature dish. The chicken-based ramen offerings were developed with guidance from Chef Yoshiyuki Maruyama, whose restaurant received Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition. Ramen options include Yuzu Shio Chicken and Umami Miso, with a vegan miso alternative also available.
Located at 185 W Center Street Promenade, the TORIKIZOKU TO-GO Anaheim location is designed to be accessible for quick meals and casual dining. The company states its goal is to share Japanese yakitori culture globally.
