Actor Jason Momoa has spoken with Men's Health magazine about his new series "Chief of War". Momoa describes the project as his dream and a tribute to his heritage.

Actor Jason Momoa has discussed his upcoming television series "Chief of War" in an interview with Men's Health magazine. Momoa, widely recognized for his role as Aquaman, referred to the new project as deeply personal, calling it "his baby, his dream, his holy grail."
The series sees Momoa take on multiple roles behind the camera as well as in front of it, serving as co-writer and director. He stated the series is "a tribute to my people" and aims to help children with indigenous roots understand their heritage. The first two episodes are exclusively in the Hawaiian language.
Momoa recalled being profoundly struck by an event during filming: the Mauna Loa and Kilauea volcanoes erupted simultaneously, for the first time in 40 years, just as the film crew arrived to shoot a scene depicting such an event. He described the experience as "absolutely crazy" and potentially "the highlight of my career."
Beyond his acting career, Momoa is an advocate for environmental conservation, particularly for his home of Hawaii and its oceans, campaigning against single-use plastics. He has been appointed "Advocate for Life Below Water" by the UN Environment Programme.
The full report appears in the September issue of Men's Health. The series "Chief of War" will be released on Apple+. Motor Press Stuttgart publishes the German edition of Men's Health.
