Jazz Festival in Saalfelden Leogang Concludes Winter Edition
The "3 Tage Jazz" festival, organized by Saalfelden Leogang Touristik GmbH, concluded its winter edition in January 2017. The event featured seven concerts across the Saalfelden Leogang region.

Saalfelden Leogang Touristik GmbH hosted the "3 Tage Jazz" festival from January 20th to 22nd, 2017. This marked the second time the event, originally established in 1978, was held during the winter season, showcasing a program of seven concerts.
The festival's venues included the Kunsthaus Nexus in Saalfelden, the Mining and Gothic Museum in Leogang, and for the first time, a free open-air concert at Stöcklalm within the Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn ski area. The event was a collaborative effort with the Center for Contemporary Music association.
Performances kicked off with Austrian artist Ulrich Drechsler, followed by Israeli pianist Anat Fort's quartet. Saturday's program featured blues-rock from "Hotrods’s Band" on Stöcklalm, while the Kunsthaus Nexus hosted Mario Rom's Interzone with saxophonist Johnny Schleiermacher, and a performance by Giovanni Guidi / Gianluca Petrella, Gerald Cleaver, and Louis Sclavis.
The festival concluded on Sunday at the Gothic Museum in Leogang, where Ulrich Drechsler returned for a solo performance featuring the basset horn. The artistic direction and lineup were curated by Mario Steidl and Michaela Mayer.
