JCDecaux Analyzes KFC's Year-Round OOH Campaign Impact

Out-of-home advertising company JCDecaux has published an analysis evaluating the impact of KFC's 2025 out-of-home (OOH) advertising strategy on brand awareness and business performance, focusing on the under-35 demographic.

KFC executed 13 nationwide OOH campaigns in France, utilizing 30 distinct advertisements. These campaigns combined product showcases and promotional offers, aiming to reinforce brand perception and increase visit intentions. The advertising sought to establish a lasting 'Taste' narrative and enhance brand consideration and trust.

JCDecaux France partnered with the AI-driven insights platform Episto for the measurements. Over 3,300 respondents within the target audience participated in pre- and post-campaign surveys to track advertising's effect on brand awareness, image, and visit intention.

The study indicated that, on average, one in three respondents recalled seeing a KFC advertisement during the year, demonstrating the effectiveness of consistent OOH visibility. Campaigns boosted brand consideration by 48% among those who recalled the ads and increased visit intention by an average of 16 percentage points. The sustained advertising effort also enhanced brand proximity to consumers by 23 percentage points from the campaign's start to finish.

The analysis highlights the significance of continuous and rhythmic OOH advertising in building long-term consumer relationships and driving foot traffic to establishments.
