JCDecaux Highlights Creative Charity Campaigns

Outdoor advertising company JCDecaux has released a review of successful charity campaigns that combine creativity with effective communication. The company specifically highlights the Austrian Caritas campaign, where advertising panels were transformed into direct donation collection points in Vienna's busiest areas.

The campaign, aimed at assisting the homeless during the colder months, was praised for its clear messaging and simple call-to-action. JCDecaux's global teams voted the Caritas campaign as the month's best creative solution within the non-profit sector.

The review also features the UK charity Missing People's digital campaign, which utilized real-time communication and mobile interaction. The involvement of television personality Stephen Fry, presented in a graphic novel style, helped reach the public and resulted in over 20,000 registrations for a child alert service.

Furthermore, JCDecaux showcases the Australian La Trobe University campaign designed to raise awareness about Parkinson's disease research and treatments. Executed in Melbourne, the campaign created an interactive experience on digital screens, allowing the public to "dance" with an individual affected by Parkinson's, while also highlighting new therapeutic approaches like dance.

According to JCDecaux, these examples demonstrate how outdoor advertising can effectively increase awareness, foster positive associations, and encourage action, even when charities operate with limited marketing budgets.
