JCDecaux, Nissan, Dubai Airports and Mindshare set Guinness World Record

JCDecaux, in collaboration with Nissan, Dubai Airports, and the media agency Mindshare, has secured a Guinness World Record for the installation of the largest indoor backlit advertising sign. The certificate was awarded on February 4th, 2013, at Dubai International Airport.

The advertising sign measures 28.1 meters by 6.2 meters, covering a total surface area of 174 square meters. It utilizes 183,034 white LEDs arranged in a honeycomb pattern.

The construction and installation of the sign involved over 3,500 man-hours and took nine months to complete. JCDecaux Dicon employed a lightweight aluminum structure, which reduced the display's weight by 60% while increasing its surface area by 70%. The integration of advanced LED lighting technology reduces the display's electrical consumption by 40% compared to traditional lightboxes.

This large-scale advertising display enabled Nissan to meet its primary campaign objective: communicating the brand's limitless innovation through creative advertisements designed to intrigue, surprise, and enhance public understanding of Nissan's approach to innovation.
