JCDecaux Unveils New Bus Shelter Concept and Digital Advertising Experience at VivaTech
JCDecaux presented its latest innovations at VivaTech 2026 in Paris, showcasing the "Le Bus Shelter" concept and the "Unlimited DOOH" digital advertising experience.

JCDecaux, a global leader in outdoor advertising, has unveiled new innovations at the VivaTech 2026 event in Paris. The company presented "Le Bus Shelter," a concept reimagining the traditional bus shelter, and the "Unlimited DOOH" (Digital Out-of-Home) experience, which leverages digital display technology.
The "Le Bus Shelter" is designed to meet the evolving needs of cities, integrating the functionality of a bus shelter with new services. These include a natural cooling module, an air purification system, an emergency contact point, a defibrillator, a digital neighborhood map, a drone module, and environmental sensors. The shelter also features Wi-Fi connectivity and solar panels. Notably, a new patented purified water misting system was introduced to provide urban dwellers with cooling relief during heatwaves, alongside a high-mounted LED screen displaying real-time bus line information.
The "Unlimited DOOH" experience features a large 13-square-meter 4K LED screen displaying novel digital creations, partly generated by artificial intelligence. JCDecaux states this exhibit demonstrates the potential of DOOH to combine creativity and technology for memorable experiences. The company aims to encourage collaboration with agencies, advertisers, and cities to explore new creative uses for its digital street furniture.
JCDecaux Chairman of the Executive Board and Co-CEO Jean-Charles Decaux highlighted the company's consistent presence at VivaTech since its inception. He emphasized that evolving the Abribus® concept and pushing the boundaries of DOOH with new technologies continues the founder Jean-Claude Decaux's original vision of improving city life through innovative and useful experiences.
VivaTech 2026 is taking place in Paris from June 17-20, 2026. JCDecaux operates as a significant player in the outdoor advertising market, emphasizing its global reach and commitment to sustainability and technological advancement in urban services.
