JCDecaux Unveils New Urban Innovations at VivaTech

JCDecaux is showcasing two new innovations at the VivaTech trade fair in Paris, focusing on improving urban life through technology and services. The company, identified as the world's largest outdoor advertising firm, is presenting these advancements at the event held from June 17-20, 2026.

The "Le Bus Shelter" redesigns JCDecaux's signature bus shelter concept, transforming it into an urban services hub. This adaptable structure can integrate various features based on city needs, including a natural cooling system, an emergency contact point, a defibrillator, a color e-paper neighborhood map, environmental sensors, and Wi-Fi. The shelter is also equipped with photovoltaic panels.

Two primary new features are being highlighted: a patented water misting system designed to cool urban spaces during heatwaves, and a high-mounted color LED screen providing real-time bus arrival information and line updates. JCDecaux emphasizes that these developments stem from collaborations with local authorities to improve city living.

The "Unlimited DOOH" (Digital Out-of-Home) experience features a large 13 square meter 4K LED screen displaying digital content, partly generated using artificial intelligence. JCDecaux aims to demonstrate the creative and technological capabilities of digital out-of-home advertising through this exhibit, encouraging partners to explore new applications.
