JCDecaux Wins Exclusive Advertising Contract for Madrid Metro
JCDecaux has been awarded an eight-year contract to operate the advertising concession for Madrid's metro network. The agreement covers all advertising space across the entire network.

JCDecaux, a company specializing in public transport outdoor advertising, has secured an exclusive eight-year contract to manage the advertising concession for the Madrid metro network. The deal encompasses all commercial advertising space throughout the entire system, including traditional, digital, and experiential advertising formats.
The Madrid metro, Spain's largest underground transport network, serves nearly 1.6 million passengers daily. JCDecaux has been involved in advertising within parts of the metro since 2007, but this new contract significantly expands their operational scope across the whole network.
This award reinforces JCDecaux's standing as the leading outdoor advertising company in Spain, joining existing exclusive contracts for the Barcelona and Bilbao metros. The company highlights the growing attractiveness of metro networks as advertising environments, driven by digital solutions and expanding audiences.
Jean-Charles Decaux, Chairman of the Executive Board and Co-CEO of JCDecaux, stated that the decision reflects the quality of the group's digital media offerings and its commercial vision. He anticipates substantial investments and synergies, positioning the Madrid metro as a showcase for advertising excellence.
