JD.com introduces gamified bonus structure for 11.11 shopping event
JD.com has updated its promotional campaign for the 11.11 shopping season, allowing users to increase the value of digital rewards through a prediction-based game.

Chinese e-commerce company JD.com has launched a new engagement feature as part of its ongoing 11.11 promotional period. Users are now invited to participate in a dice-based prediction game, where successful outcomes allow them to increase the value of their digital red envelopes and shopping coupons.
Under the new rules, participants can choose to collect small rewards after a single victory or continue playing to multiply the potential bonus. The system requires consecutive wins to reach the maximum bonus tier, capped at 10 yuan. If a participant fails a round, all accumulated rewards for that session are forfeited.
These gamified mechanics reflect a common industry trend among major e-commerce platforms in China, which frequently use interactive games to boost daily active usage ahead of major sales festivals. Both JD.com and rivals such as Alibaba continue to employ these retention strategies to drive platform traffic during the highly competitive 11.11 window.
