JDSU Becomes Viavi Solutions Following Restructuring
JDSU, a provider of fiber optic measurement devices and software platforms, has completed a corporate split, with its business now operating under the new name Viavi Solutions. Customers are reportedly unaffected by the change.
The telecommunications test and measurement company JDSU has officially completed its planned separation, with key business segments now operating under the new entity Viavi Solutions. This rebranding follows the division of JDSU into two separate companies: Lumentum and Viavi.
Viavi Solutions will encompass the former JDSU divisions focused on Network Enablement and Service Enablement, Optical Security and Performance Products, Network Instruments, and Arieso. The company's offerings will continue to include software and hardware platforms, alongside fiber optic measurement devices.
According to a statement, the transition is not expected to impact customers. Contact persons will remain the same, and product offerings are anticipated to continue without significant changes, aside from potential user interface modifications. This move aims to provide clearer focus for the distinct business operations within the former JDSU structure.
LASER COMPONENTS Germany GmbH, which previously partnered with JDSU, has acknowledged the name change and assured its customers that business operations and product availability will proceed as normal.
