Jenny McCarthy Begins Therapeutic Plasma Exchange for Toxin Reduction

Actress, author, and health advocate Jenny McCarthy has commenced a course of Advanced Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE) at MDLifespan, a practice focused on reducing environmental toxins and inflammation. McCarthy has previously spoken openly about her health journey and efforts to mitigate her body's toxic burden.

McCarthy informed her followers that despite extensive efforts to improve her health, including diet, supplements, and other detoxification therapies, she continues to struggle with elevated levels of mold toxins, aluminum, and arsenic. She described the treatment as being for individuals who have tried multiple approaches without success.

By documenting her experience, McCarthy aims to educate others facing similar health challenges and foster informed discussions about environmental toxins, mold illness, and emerging physician-led therapies. She emphasizes that this is a personal journey and the treatment may not be suitable for everyone.

Paul Savage, MD, Founder and CEO of MDLifespan, explained that therapeutic plasma exchange is a physician-led treatment that may help reduce toxic burden and inflammation by removing certain substances from the plasma. He noted that it serves as an adjunct to foundational health practices, not a replacement, and that many patients have already implemented lifestyle changes prior to seeking TPE.
