Jetour Traveller 7 Model to Launch October 10
The Chery Jetour Traveller 7 is scheduled for an official launch on October 10. The vehicle is available for pre-sale starting from 149,900 yuan and offers gasoline and plug-in hybrid powertrains.
Chinese automaker Jetour, part of the Chery Group, will officially launch its Traveller 7 model on October 10. Pre-sales for the vehicle began on September 23, with prices starting at 149,900 yuan (approximately $20,500 USD). The model lineup includes seven different configurations.
The Jetour Traveller 7 is an expansion of the company's Traveller series, offering both gasoline and plug-in hybrid powertrain options. Consumers can choose between a 1.5-liter or 2.0-liter gasoline engine, or a 1.5-liter plug-in hybrid version. The vehicle measures 4,827mm in length, 2,006mm in width, and 1,875mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,800mm.
Extern styling for the Traveller 7 includes several detail adjustments. The front grille features a new贯穿式 (guànchuānshì - through-type) trim strip, the brand logo is positioned higher on the hood, and the front bumper is body-colored, contributing to a more refined appearance. The rear retains classic off-road elements like an external storage box, often referred to as a "small backpack," and a side-opening tailgate.
Inside, the model focuses on comfort with "Cloud Comfort Seats" offering eight-point pneumatic massage and ten-way power adjustment. When folded, the seats create a flat space nearly two meters long, suitable for camping or rest. The vehicle is also equipped with a 23-speaker panoramic sound system for an immersive audio experience. Advanced driver-assistance systems are integrated, powered by a Horizon Journey 6M chip with 128 TOPS of computing power.
Powertrain options range from a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, to a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The plug-in hybrid variant utilizes a 1.5-liter engine with a 3-speed DHT gearbox and a 45.12kWh battery pack from CATL, providing an electric-only range of up to 251 kilometers (CLTC) and a combined range of 1,400 kilometers.
All Traveller 7 models come standard with the XWD full-automatic intelligent four-wheel-drive system, featuring seven "7+X" one-key off-road modes for automatic torque distribution and traction control in various terrains.
