Jetour Unveils G700 Off-Road Vehicle with Explorer Ed Stafford
Automaker Jetour hosted an event in Harbin, China, where explorer Ed Stafford shared his experiences with the company's new G700 off-road vehicle.
Chinese automaker Jetour showcased its latest G700 off-road SUV at an event held in Harbin, China. The event featured renowned explorer Ed Stafford, known for being the first person to hike the length of the Amazon River and for hosting several Discovery Channel series.
Jetour International President Ke Chuandeng and Executive Vice President Yan Jun were present. Discussions focused on the intersection of modern automotive engineering, off-road capabilities, and survival skills. Ke Chuandeng stated that Stafford was chosen as a brand ambassador because he embodies the courage to explore and go further, aligning with the G700's values.
Stafford recounted using the G700 across various international locations, including sand dunes in Morocco, rainforest mountains in Ecuador, deserts in Colombia, and Iceland. He expressed his satisfaction with the vehicle's versatility and ability to handle extreme conditions. Stafford noted his shared desire with Jetour to help people access wild places and encouraged spending more time outdoors.
Yan Jun detailed the G700's technical specifications, including its GAIA Architecture and three professional off-road differential locks designed for challenging terrain. He highlighted the company's global testing system, which involves over 10 million kilometers of real-world validation in extreme environments before market launch.
The event included an off-road test drive session for attendees. It concluded with Stafford officially receiving the keys to his new G700 at the Harbin Jetour Experience Center.
