The Jiangxi China-Africa Gen-Z Youth Entrepreneurship Competition concluded on September 29 in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, with an award ceremony and entrepreneurship forum. The event recognized winning projects and acknowledged outstanding mentors.
Two highlighted projects, "The Bamboo Bridges China-Africa: Coolness Co-Creation Project" and "Jiangxi-Based Vertical AIGC Digital Collaboration Platform," demonstrated how young people from China and Africa are leveraging innovation to address real-world challenges and foster collaborative development opportunities.
The competition received 147 eligible proposals, with 56 percent submitted by mixed Chinese and African youth teams. Selected projects advanced through evaluation rounds, refining business plans for both Chinese and African markets. Projects focused on practical needs in areas such as healthcare, vocational training, modern agriculture, and mining.
Six projects received first, second, and third prizes, while 10 projects were awarded excellence prizes. A panel discussion explored how young individuals from China and Africa can utilize digital technologies to deepen cooperation and create new entrepreneurial avenues. The year 2026 is designated as the China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges.
