Jiao Ge Peng You Acknowledges Product Defects, Initiates Refunds
Chinese e-commerce platform Jiao Ge Peng You has admitted to consumer-reported quality issues with a stool it sold, including moldy wooden parts. The company has removed the product and begun a full refund process for affected customers.

Chinese e-commerce platform Jiao Ge Peng You has confirmed consumer allegations regarding quality defects in a stool it sold. Reports indicate that the product's wooden components were found to be moldy and the filling material did not meet standards. In response, the company has immediately removed the product from all sales channels and initiated a process to provide full refunds to customers.
The issues came to light after customers reported that the "wan xiang lun liu liu deng" (universal wheel stool) they purchased contained moldy wooden parts and other low-quality materials. Some customers also reported an unpleasant odor emanating from the product. The company has stated that it has found evidence confirming the validity of these claims.
According to Jiao Ge Peng You, the product was sold through several of its popular live-streaming sales channels. The company has ceased its cooperation with the manufacturer of this product and accuses the manufacturer of unethical practices, where high-quality samples were provided for inspections while inferior products were actually delivered.
The company has committed to providing full refunds to all customers who purchased the product, without requiring a return. The refund process is underway in collaboration with the e-commerce platform. Jiao Ge Peng You has also launched an internal review to enhance its quality control procedures and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
