Northern European winters, with ambient temperatures ranging from -25 to -35°C, pose significant challenges to construction equipment hydraulic systems. Increased oil viscosity can lead to pump cavitation, jerky cylinder movements, and accelerated wear, accounting for up to 80% of a system's total lifetime wear. The Jinwei Heat product line aims to maintain optimal hydraulic oil temperature during shutdown and ensure rapid warm-up during cold starts.
The heaters' IP67 rating, essential for protection against snow, meltwater, road salt, and condensation, is guaranteed through a multi-stage testing protocol. This includes visual and dimensional checks, dielectric strength tests (1500V AC), dust ingress tests (8 hours in a talcum powder chamber), and water immersion tests (1 meter for 30 minutes).
The final stage involves a thermal cycling test, subjecting the heaters to 100 cycles between -35°C and +85°C. This process is designed to detect common failure modes, such as water ingress at the lead wire exit, tearing of the silicone at mounting points, and burnout from voltage spikes. The resulting verification reports are utilized by Northern European construction equipment OEMs for qualifying heaters for excavators, wheel loaders, and articulated haulers.
