Jinwei Electric Supplies Crankcase Heaters for Middle East HVAC Compressors
Shengzhou Jinwei Electric Heating Appliance Co., Ltd. is providing silicone rubber crankcase heaters to protect HVAC compressors from cold-start failures in the extreme and fluctuating climates of the Middle East.

Chinese manufacturer Shengzhou Jinwei Electric Heating Appliance Co., Ltd. is supplying silicone rubber crankcase heaters designed to prevent compressor failures in Middle Eastern HVAC systems. The risk of cold-start failure is high due to the region's daily and nightly temperature swings, which can reach 30°C.
As daytime extreme heat significantly drops during the night, refrigerant tends to migrate to the coldest point in the system, often the compressor crankcase. There, it dilutes the lubricating oil, substantially increasing bearing wear upon startup. Jinwei's heaters maintain the crankcase oil temperature 10–15°C above ambient, preventing condensation and preserving oil quality.
These flexible, surface-mounted heating elements are engineered to withstand the region's demanding conditions. They utilize a nickel-chromium alloy resistance wire encapsulated between layers of fiberglass-reinforced silicone rubber. This construction allows for a continuous operating temperature of 250°C and ensures reliability even under fault conditions.
According to the company, the silicone rubber offers uniform heat distribution, high dielectric strength, and excellent conformability to various compressor housing shapes. These properties are crucial for avoiding air gaps that can significantly reduce heat transfer. The company tests each production batch before delivery to the Middle East market.
