Jio Platforms Reports 14% Profit Growth in First Post-IPO Quarter

Jio Platforms has reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 8,387 crore for the quarter ending September 2026, a 14% increase compared to the same period last year. Revenue from operations reached Rs 40,475 crore, representing an 11% year-on-year growth. These results mark the company’s first quarterly filing since its public market debut on October 28.

The firm expanded its total subscriber base to 542.4 million, adding 9.1 million users during the period. A significant driver of this growth was its 5G network, which now serves 300 million users. Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) climbed to Rs 218.8, while monthly data consumption per user rose to 44.2 GB.

Operating expenses grew to Rs 30,194 crore, a 12% increase from the previous year, primarily due to rising network operating costs and licensing fees. Managing Director Akash Ambani noted that the company intends to maintain capital expenditure on satellite communications, 6G infrastructure, and the integration of artificial intelligence into its core service offerings.

Jio Platforms, which recently secured Rs 30,188 crore through its initial public offering, continues to diversify its digital portfolio. Recent product rollouts include AI-driven smart glasses and network-based call agents, reflecting a strategic shift toward hardware and integrated service ecosystems beyond traditional telecommunications.
