JIYI Aims to Speed Up Game Creation with AI
Chinese company JIYI has introduced its SOON platform, utilizing AI to accelerate game development. The platform aims to transform creative ideas into playable prototypes in minutes.

Chinese technology firm JIYI is looking to redefine game creation with its AI-powered platform, SOON. The platform is designed to allow users to turn ideas described in natural language into playable game prototypes, significantly shortening the development cycle.
Traditionally, making video games has been a complex process requiring expertise in design, programming, art, and production. SOON aims to automate parts of this workflow, with AI assisting in generating code, game logic, characters, and user interfaces based on user input.
The platform currently focuses on 2D games and mini-games, a deliberate choice to allow for greater automation and stable output. While large commercial games still rely on experienced teams, SOON offers a rapid path for creating prototypes and smaller projects. During its second testing phase, users reportedly created over 3,000 game projects in 45 days.
JIYI originated from the incubator of Chinese gaming company Kingnet Network and has secured investment from firms like Bingo Group. The company's approach reflects a broader industry question: will AI become just another tool, or will it fundamentally reshape how games are produced? SOON is betting on the latter.
