Johan Sjöhagra Appointed New CEO of Jula AB

Jula AB has named Johan Sjöhagra as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2022. Sjöhagra brings extensive retail experience from leadership roles at companies including Ikea, Ica, and El-Giganten. He has been with the Jula organization since May 2018, initially serving as CEO of Jula Sverige AB before taking on the role of Director of Sales Operations for all of Jula's sales channels.

Owner Karl-Johan Blank highlighted the internal appointment as a strength for the company. "It is a strength to be able to make these types of important appointments internally. Our strategy of always considering succession planning in our appointments ensures we have strong internal candidates," Blank stated.

Sjöhagra expressed that he views the role of CEO for Jula AB as a significant honor and responsibility. He is looking forward to the company's upcoming challenges, including its expansion into the Finnish market in 2022, which will involve establishing both physical stores and e-commerce operations. Jula also plans to open several new stores in existing markets and expand its e-commerce presence across Europe.
