Johanniter Hospice Supported by Volksbank Regensburg Christmas Charity
Volksbank Regensburg's civic foundation launched its "Together More" Christmas charity on November 17, 2022. The campaign, running until December 31, 2022, supports regional associations and projects, including the Johanniter-built Bruder-Gerhard Hospice.
The civic foundation of Volksbank Regensburg initiated its annual Christmas charity campaign, themed "Together More," on November 17, 2022. The initiative, set to run until December 31, 2022, aims to support various local associations and projects in the Regensburg and Schwandorf regions. Among the beneficiaries is the Bruder-Gerhard Hospice, currently under construction by the Johanniter order in Schwandorf.
A total of eight associations and projects are set to receive support from the campaign. These include organizations such as Verein zweites Leben e.V., vkm Regensburg e.V. with its animal-assisted therapy center, the Tafeln food banks in Schwandorf and Regensburg, Strohhalme e.V., the Diakonie Regensburg's day center Café Insel, VKKK Ostbayern e.V., the municipal music school in Neunburg vorm Wald, and the Johanniter in Ostbayern with their Bruder-Gerhard Hospice.
Each supported project has a prominent advocate. For the Bruder-Gerhard Hospice, patronage has been provided by figures including district administrators Tanja Schweiger and Thomas Ebeling, entertainer Hannes Ringlstetter, actor Marcus Mittermeier, and moderator Tom Meiler.
Wolfgang Völkl, chairman of the foundation's board, noted that the previous year's campaign raised approximately €79,000. The bank then increased the total to €100,000, allowing each of the eight beneficiaries to receive €12,500. The foundation aims to build upon this success with the current campaign, accepting donations until December 31.
