Johanniter-Krankenhaus Duisburg-Rheinhausen announces physician award and upcoming dialysis conference
Johanniter-Krankenhaus Duisburg-Rheinhausen chief physician Dr. Alexander Meyer has received the Thomas-Lehn-Prize for his research on dialysis access. The clinic is set to host a major dialysis symposium this October.
Dr. Alexander Meyer, chief physician at Johanniter-Krankenhaus Duisburg-Rheinhausen, has been awarded the Thomas-Lehn-Prize. The recognition follows his presentation at the 10th annual meeting of the Interdisciplinary Working Group for Dialysis Access (IAD) in Weimar, where he was honored for presenting the best lecture.
Following this achievement, the hospital is preparing to hold its 12th Duisburger Dialyseshunt-Tagung, a specialist conference scheduled for October 19–20, 2023. The event brings together professionals to discuss advancements in vascular access for dialysis patients.
The hospital’s commitment to academic participation and conference hosting reflects its ongoing effort to contribute to specialized renal care. These events serve as platforms for medical professionals to exchange technical insights that directly impact patient outcomes in dialysis therapy.
