Johanniter Receives DZI Seal of Approval for Donation Handling

Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe has once again received the reputable DZI Seal of Approval, confirming the organization's conscientious and responsible management of funds. This marks the 21st consecutive year the German Central Institute for Social Questions (DZI) has granted this recognition to the aid organization.

The DZI Seal of Approval is awarded annually to donation organizations that voluntarily undergo audits of their finances and marketing. The review assesses aspects such as fundraising and fund utilization, as well as the organization's financial standing. Earning the seal signifies that donations are used for their intended charitable purpose and that the organization operates with transparency, economy, and efficiency.

Thomas Mähnert, a member of Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe's federal board, stated that the renewed seal validates the organization's commitment to serving those in need. He expressed gratitude to donors for their generosity and trust, which enable this vital work.

In December 2025, Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe also received commendation from Stiftung Warentest, an independent consumer organization, for its high transparency and efficiency in utilizing donation funds. Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe is one of Germany's largest aid organizations, providing a wide range of social services from rescue and emergency services to elderly care and international humanitarian aid.
