Johanniter Senior Residences: Art Projects and New Initiatives
Johanniter's senior residences have implemented various projects including street art, a podcast series, and the opening of new facilities.
Johanniter Unfall Hilfe e.V.'s senior housing division, Johanniter Seniorenhäuser GmbH, has recently been active with several initiatives aimed at enhancing care and community for its residents.
The organization has engaged in artistic endeavors, including a street art project on construction site fences that explored themes of art and transience. Additionally, a podcast series titled "Kunst zum Zuhören" (Art to Listen To) has been launched, connecting images, memories, and generations to provide new perspectives for residents.
Furthermore, the Lindenpark residence celebrated its 130th anniversary with an event emphasizing joy, encounters, and community. Staff development and future-proofing have also been a focus, with 22 apprentices participating in a "Zukunftskurs" (Future Course) program at the Johanniter House in Empelde.
The division has also voiced its stance on care reform and hosted discussions on dying and palliative care. A new Johanniter residence was inaugurated in Magdeburg, attended by the Minister-President of Saxony-Anhalt. These activities reflect Johanniter's commitment to comprehensive elderly care and resident well-being.
