Johns Hopkins University Partners with Prospect HQ for Athlete Career Placement

Johns Hopkins University Athletics has announced a partnership with Prospect HQ, a hiring platform designed to connect current and former student-athletes with prospective employers. The initiative aims to leverage the leadership and teamwork skills developed through collegiate sports to assist athletes in their post-graduation career searches.

Prospect HQ provides users with access to a national talent network that includes membership from more than 700 colleges and universities. The platform uses a methodology titled Purposeful Intelligence, which helps individuals identify their personal values and professional goals to align with corporate culture requirements. The service is provided at no cost to student-athletes, alumni, or academic institutions.

Jennifer S. Baker, Director of Athletics at Johns Hopkins, stated that the partnership will supplement the university’s internal career design programs. The platform is intended to assist athletes in transitioning from collegiate athletics to professional paths that offer long-term growth.

Since its launch in January 2026, Prospect HQ has expanded its digital offerings, including a recently released mobile application. Companies utilize the platform to source talent based on specific cultural and behavioral metrics.
