Johnson & Johnson reports Phase 3 data for icotrokinra in psoriatic arthritis

Johnson & Johnson presented Phase 3 trial data at the American College of Rheumatology Convergence regarding icotrokinra, an investigational treatment for psoriatic arthritis. The study focused on patients who had not previously received biologic therapies.

According to the findings, 58% of patients treated with icotrokinra achieved an ACR20 response, while 29% reached an ACR50 response by Week 16. The treatment is an oral peptide designed to target the IL-23 receptor.

This development suggests a potential alternative to injectable biologics for managing psoriatic arthritis. The clinical trial continues to evaluate the safety and long-term efficacy profile of the compound in diverse patient cohorts.
