JonesTrading has appointed Stephen Holowesko as Managing Director within its Outsourced Trading team. The firm stated that the addition is part of a strategy to bolster its high-touch execution capabilities to serve a growing base of institutional investors.
Holowesko joins the firm from Holowesko Partners Ltd., where he served as a partner and head of trading. His professional background also includes a tenure at Goldman Sachs, where he was a founding member of the Absolute Return Group. He holds a degree from Georgetown University and is a CFA charterholder.
Company leadership cited the increasing complexity of client relationships as a primary driver for the expansion. JonesTrading has spent the past 11 years developing its outsourced trading business, which now serves as a key pillar in the firm’s broader strategy of providing specialized liquidity and execution services to institutional clients.
