Monster Energy's Jordan Williams continued his winning streak at Round 6 of the UCI Mountain Bike World Series in Pal Arinsal, Andorra. The 21-year-old British rider claimed his second consecutive Elite Men's Downhill victory, while teammate Ryan Pinkerton, 22, achieved his first Elite World Cup podium with a third-place finish.
The event took place on a challenging and high-speed course in Andorra, which demanded significant rider focus due to its rough and eroded sections. Williams delivered a commanding performance, stopping the clock at 2:41.666 and finishing 2.331 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor. This marks his third Elite World Cup win.
"This is crazy; it's totally insane!" Williams stated after the race. "I just can't thank my team enough." Pinkerton also expressed his satisfaction with his breakthrough performance on the Andorra track, which holds significance as the site of his first Junior win.
Williams now leads the overall series standings. Other Monster Energy riders, including Amaury Pierron and Marine Cabirou, also competed, with their overall series standings affected by the results.
