Jörg Menges Appointed CEO of Audi FAW NEV Company
Jörg Menges will assume the role of CEO of Audi FAW NEV Company Ltd. effective April 1, 2026. He brings over 31 years of international experience in the automotive industry.
Audi has appointed Jörg Menges as the new CEO of its Chinese joint venture, Audi FAW NEV Company Ltd., effective April 1, 2026. Menges succeeds Helmut Stettner, who is concluding his five-year tenure and will return to Audi headquarters in Ingolstadt.
Menges possesses over 31 years of international experience within the automotive sector. Since 2022, he has served as Head of Product Engineering at AUDI AG in Ingolstadt. Previously, he held the position of Plant Manager at FAW-Volkswagen-Automotive Co., Ltd. in Changchun, where he gained significant experience in localized production and management. Audi highlighted Menges' deep understanding of the Chinese market and his extensive connections within the company group.
The Audi FAW NEV Company, located in Changchun, represents Audi's first production facility in China exclusively dedicated to manufacturing electric vehicle models. The company aims to provide premium e-mobility solutions for the Chinese market. Its product lineup includes the Audi Q6L e-tron and Audi Q6L Sportback e-tron, launched in 2025, with the Audi A6L e-tron slated for introduction in the near future.
