J.P. Morgan launches private markets valuation service via PricingDirect and Aumni
J.P. Morgan is expanding its services for private capital markets with a new independent valuation offering for private equity securities. The service is a collaboration between its subsidiaries PricingDirect and Aumni.

J.P. Morgan is enhancing its support for venture capital and private equity firms by introducing a new service that provides independent valuations of private equity securities. This initiative is a collaboration between the firm’s subsidiaries, PricingDirect and Aumni.
The new offering targets private capital markets, a rapidly growing segment of the financial services industry. It aims to provide venture capital investors, private equity firms, and other financial sponsors with comprehensive and unbiased valuations of their private company investments, meeting audit and regulatory requirements.
The service integrates PricingDirect’s expertise in evaluated pricing with Aumni’s data structuring capabilities and insights from the private markets. Neil Hyman, CEO of PricingDirect, stated that the partnership brings streamlined and tech-enabled capabilities to market participants. "The partnership combines PricingDirect’s expertise in evaluated pricing and Aumni’s private market expertise and advanced data analytics capabilities to offer investors reliable ASC 820 valuations aligned with industry standards," Hyman said.
This move aligns with J.P. Morgan’s broader strategy to strengthen its position within the innovation economy, serving a network of startups and high-growth enterprises across sectors like technology, fintech, and life sciences. The firm aims to support these companies from their early stages through to potential IPOs and beyond.
