J&T Express to Operate 5,000 Electric Trucks Using CATL's Battery Swap Solution
Logistics company J&T Express plans to deploy 5,000 fully electric trucks utilizing CATL's battery swap technology. The initiative aims to accelerate the green transformation of logistics operations.

Logistics firm J&T Express has announced plans to integrate 5,000 fully electric trucks into its fleet, leveraging battery swap technology developed by CATL. This significant investment in electrification is intended to expedite the reduction of carbon emissions across the company's logistics network.
The partnership with CATL also involves the establishment of battery swap stations. CATL has already launched 2,000 swap stations for its Choco SEB system, applicable to both electric cars and light electric commercial vehicles. This strategic collaboration specifically targets the rapid electrification of heavy-duty transport.
This move is part of a broader push towards a greener logistics sector. J&T Express aims to decrease its reliance on fossil fuels and enhance the ecological sustainability of its operations. Battery swap technology allows for continuous vehicle uptime, as depleted batteries can be exchanged for charged ones within minutes.
In June, the company also revealed plans to develop an automated logistics hub in southern Vietnam with SLP. Additionally, J&T Express reported an average daily parcel volume of 35.51 million in Southeast Asia during that month, reflecting its growing market presence in the region.
