Julia Rosebrock to Host MDR Sachsen-Anhalt Morning Show, Succeeding Antonia Kaloff
Julia Rosebrock has been appointed the new host of MDR Sachsen-Anhalt's morning program. She takes over from Antonia Kaloff, who is pursuing a political career.

Halle, Saxony-Anhalt โ Julia Rosebrock will begin hosting the "MDR Sachsen-Anhalt โ Mein Radio. Mein Zuhause.โ morning program starting this Monday. She replaces Antonia Kaloff, who is stepping down after 23 years to pursue a political career.
Rosebrock has been with MDR since 2019, working as an editor and presenter for various radio programs. She expressed enthusiasm for the new role, stating her intention to deliver regional news and music while bringing optimism and curiosity about listeners' stories.
Antonia Kaloff's departure comes as she intends to run for the state parliament in Saxony-Anhalt in September 2026. She cited a commitment to enhancing freedom and democratic rights, including press freedom, as her motivation for entering politics.
"I have decided to apply for a mandate in the next state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt and thus actively engage in the political sphere, primarily for freedom and democratic rights," Kaloff stated. She also extended her gratitude to her colleagues at MDR for their collaboration over the years.
Tim Herden, MDR State Broadcasting Director for Saxony-Anhalt, wished Rosebrock success in her new position and praised Kaloff for her professionalism and dedication to MDR radio.
