Julianne Moore to receive Kering and Festival de Cannes Women In Motion Award

Luxury group Kering and the Festival de Cannes announced that actress Julianne Moore will receive the 2026 Women In Motion Award. The award ceremony will take place on May 17 as part of the 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival.
The Women In Motion Award, presented since 2015, honors female artists who have advanced the role of women in cinema and society through their careers and commitment. Moore is recognized for her versatile performances and her advocacy for women's voices and diversity in the film industry.
Beyond her acting career, Moore is involved in social causes, serving as the founding chair of Everytown for Gun Safety's Creative Council, advocating for an end to gun violence in the United States. She is an Academy Award, Emmy, Golden Globe, and BAFTA winner.
The Emerging Talent Award, which includes a €50,000 grant for a filmmaker's second feature project, will be presented to Margherita Spampinato for her film "Gioia Mia." The film explores themes of childhood, love, and memory in a Sicilian seaside town.
