K-rauta Express Store to Open in Helsinki's Forum Shopping Complex
Kesko's K-rauta chain is launching its first K-rauta Express store in Helsinki's Forum shopping complex in August. The new concept aims to cater to urban customers with a focus on home furnishings and faster shopping.

The K-rauta building and home improvement chain will open its first K-rauta Express store at the Forum shopping complex in Helsinki in August. This new concept is designed for city centers and shopping malls, aiming to provide easier and quicker shopping experiences.
The Express store concept is intended to attract urban customers by bringing K-rauta's services closer to those who do not rely on cars for transportation. The focus will be on making renovation planning and product ordering possible within a single visit.
Product selection will emphasize home furnishing, decoration, paints, and tools. This move signals K-rauta's strategy to adapt to changing consumer habits and provide more accessible retail points in urban environments.
Chain Director Virpi Viinikainen stated that the concept is not simply a smaller version of a K-rauta store but offers a novel approach and convenient transport links. The chain plans to initially test the concept with one to three stores in the Greater Helsinki area before deciding on wider expansion. The Express stores will be operated by K-rauta retailers.
