Kaiwang Data Secures Over 100 Million RMB for AI Infrastructure
Chinese embodied AI data infrastructure provider Kaiwang Data has raised more than RMB100 million in a strategic funding round. The round was led by Beijing E-Town Industrial Upgrade Fund, Huafang Capital, and Skyline Capital.
Kaiwang Data, a Chinese company specializing in data infrastructure for embodied artificial intelligence, has completed a strategic funding round exceeding RMB100 million. The company plans to use the new capital to develop its data trading platform, advance its "world model" technologies, and expand its capacity for commercial, industrial, and household applications.
The funding round was jointly led by the Beijing E-Town Industrial Upgrade Fund, Huafang Capital, and Skyline Capital. Several robotics companies also participated, including Lumai Robotics, Songyan Power, Zizibianliang Robotics, and AGIBOT-affiliated Mifeng Technology.
Kaiwang Data focuses on collecting, labeling, and managing multimodal data essential for autonomous driving, "world models," and humanoid robots. Their data sets encompass first-person videos, tactile glove data, gripper operations, and panoramic footage.
The company reported that its monthly output of usable data has reached approximately 100,000 hours. Kaiwang Data has also secured bulk data purchasing agreements with several major clients.
