Kalmar and Patrick Terminals have signed a new ten-year strategic supply agreement, extending a partnership that has been central to Australia's leading container terminal operator for more than two decades.
The agreement enhances Kalmar's position as a provider of sustainable material handling equipment and services. It supports Patrick Terminals' future development plans, including operational efficiency improvements, safety enhancements, and decarbonisation initiatives across its terminals.
A key aspect of the agreement involves Kalmar's commitment to maintaining a skilled local automation team in Australia. This ensures ongoing support for current and future automation projects within the Patrick Terminals network.
Patrick Terminals anticipates continuing its close collaboration with Kalmar. CEO Michael Jovicic highlighted the partnership's role in improving the performance of automated straddle carriers and supporting the growing demands of Australia's supply chain.
Karri Keskinen from Kalmar stated the agreement strengthens joint opportunities to deliver efficient and competitive solutions in the Oceania region. The announcement was made during the 20th anniversary celebration of automated straddle carrier operations at Patrick's Brisbane AutoStrad Terminal.
