Kalmar Introduces Eco Reachstacker With Fuel Saving Guarantee

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has introduced its new Eco Reachstacker, a fuel-efficient terminal tractor that includes a fuel saving guarantee. This machine is the first in Kalmar's new "Eco Range" of environmentally friendly equipment. The launch took place on June 12, 2018, at the TOC Europe event in Rotterdam.

The equipment is designed to significantly reduce fuel consumption and costs while lowering carbon emissions, helping customers meet environmental standards. "We are proud to introduce a new, eco-efficient solution that guarantees a substantial cut in fuel consumption and costs, while lowering carbon emissions and helping customers meet current and future emissions standards," said Dan Pettersson, Senior Vice President, Mobile Equipment at Kalmar.

Two options are available for the Kalmar Eco Reachstacker. Customers can purchase the machine with the "Fuel Saving Solution," which guarantees a reduction in fuel consumption. Alternatively, the machine can be leased with the "Operational Solution," which guarantees availability and performance for a fixed period at a monthly fee.

The purchase option includes the fuel saving guarantee, operator training, and a three-year license for Kalmar's SmartFleet remote monitoring system. If the agreed fuel reduction is not met after 12 months of use, Kalmar will compensate for the difference in fuel costs. The leasing option covers the machine, the guarantee, fuel, maintenance, tires, remote monitoring, training, and financing.
